Fees and payment modalities

For maximum transparency, I have prepared a section in which you will find all rates and payment methods. Here you can find out how I calculate the costs for your project and what payment options are available. I offer you a free, no-obligation quote for every translation project. To calculate the costs, please send me a copy of the text in Word or PDF format by email.

How the cost of translation is calculated

The cost of translation is calculated according to the type of text:

  • Non-fiction and manuals: per folder (1,500 characters, including spaces).
  • Technical, medical, tourist or editorial translation: by word.

A surcharge will be charged for express deliveries. This will be discussed and agreed during the budget phase.

Post-editing costs

Post-editing, i.e., the revision of texts created by artificial intelligence, incurs different fees depending on the scope of the necessary interventions.

  • Full post-editing: 30% less per word at the cost of translation. This editing is more thorough and aims to significantly improve the style, tone and coherence of the text so that it is indistinguishable from a human translation.
  • Soft post-editing: 50% less per word on the cost of translation. This type of service focuses on correcting minimal errors to ensure that the text is fluent and understandable.

Rates for localisation and transcreation

Unlike translation, localisation and transcreation services require a creative and consultative approach that is not based on a simple word count. For this reason, costs are calculated on an hourly basis. The minimum rate is €20.00 per hour.

Payment options

I accept payments by bank transfer for amounts over 200€. For smaller amounts, you can use PayPal with the 'friends and family' mode. For amounts over 200€, a deposit of 50% is required upon acceptance of the offer. The remaining 50% must be paid before final delivery of the translated text.

Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

An NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) is a legally binding contract that ensures that the translator undertakes not to disclose or share confidential information to which they have access during the work. Signing an NDA guarantees maximum confidentiality for your project.
